Twitter bridge

The Twitter bridge installed by us is powered by mautrix-twitter.

Usage¶

Start a chat with @twitterbot:your-server.com. When it joins, type help in the chat to see instructions.

Authentication¶

To conduct authentication, please follow the steps below.

  1. Send login-cookie to the bridge bot
  2. The bot will send you these instructions to extract required cookies. Follow the steps to log into the bridge
  3. Log into the Twitter in private/incognito browser window
  4. Press F12 to open developer tools
  5. Select the Application (Chrome, Safari, Edge) or Storage (Firefox) tab
  6. In the sidebar, expand Cookies and select https://twitter.com
  7. In the cookie list, find the auth_token value
  8. In the cookie list, find the ct0 value
  9. Send login ct0 auth to the bot after replacing ct0 and auth with the respective values

After logging in, the bridge will create portal rooms for recent chats. Portal rooms for other chats will be created as you receive messages.
