### Monitoring Alerts Scheduling Changes

Previously, [automatic monitoring reports](https://etke.cc/services/monitoring#automatic) were sent with an exponential backoff — meaning that if an issue persisted, you would receive reminders after increasingly longer delays (not immediately the next day).

The idea behind this mechanism was to help customers notice unresolved issues, even if they missed the initial alert. However, in practice, we found that it often caused more annoyance than help.

To improve the experience, **monitoring alert reminders will now be sent once per week** for the same ongoing issue.

For example: if you have a misconfigured delegation redirect, you will receive an alert on Monday, and if nothing changes, a reminder will be sent the following Monday.

**Important:** if a *new* issue appears, you will still receive an alert **immediately**.
