Service Updates: Cloud Hosting is back!¶

We disabled the cloud hosting option in the order form a while ago due to price adjustments on the Hetzner side. And this week it returns with an extended catalog of 14 VPS sizes instead of 5.

How does that affect existing customers?

The only change for existing customers is the hosting tier being renamed from “Hosting (Medium)” to something like “Hosting (Compact)”, that’s it - price is grandfathered, i.e., remains the same unless you want to resize the server.

Why rename? With extending the catalog, we had to either go with “Medium”, “Medium Plus”, “Medium Pro”, “Medium Even-More-Proer” or with distinct names, we chose the latter.
