New keys have been published on the website (https://etke.cc/keys.txt ) and rotated on customers’ servers. This is an automatic process, you don’t need to do anything

Reminder About Subscriptions Migration

Context . Impacts only customers on the deprecated price model (Maintenance and Turnkey subscriptions). If you got your server after December 2023 or already switched to the new By Complexity model, you are not affected and thus you don’t need to do anything.

If you intend to switch from a deprecated subscription plan, you don’t need to submit a new order. Just obtain the price for your specific server by using run price of etke.cc/scheduler and follow the step-by-step guide to update your payment details

Service Updates: HTTP/3 Support

HTTP/3 is now supported and enabled by default for all customers, making access to services even faster.

On-Premises customers, which have an additional firewall in front of their server, will need to open UDP ports 443 and 8448 in their provider-level firewall (if enabled) for HTTP/3 to work.

The price command provides an overview of your server’s cost with a detailed breakdown by components, it’s especially handy when you want to adjust your server’s components and their cost.

It was discovered that OpenSSH incorrectly handled signal management. A remote attacker could use this issue to bypass authentication and remotely access systems without proper credentials.

As it was announced a long time ago, 2 major changes hit the transition’s deadline and are enforced starting from 1st July 2024:

Deprecated Components Alternatives and Migration Notes

Almost every component has an alternative, usually with more features and options than the original one. We understand there could be confusion, so here are migration notes and suggestions for each of them:

  • Dimension - unfortunately, the only alternative is the built-in integration manager. For customers who had Dimension with Etherpad, etherpad is still available on dimension.your-server.com/etherpad (i.e., nothing changed)
  • Wireguard (and dnsmasq) - alternative is Firezone (+$2/month) that provides UI for devices management and VPN server configuration. You may request adding that component by contacting us
  • Discord bridge (mx-puppet-discord) - alternative is Discord bridge (mautrix-discord) . You may request adding that component by contacting us
  • Facebook bridge (mautrix-facebook) - alternative is Facebook bridge (mautrix-meta) . You may request adding that component by contacting us
  • GroupMe bridge (mx-puppet-groupme) - unfortunately, there is no alternative
  • Instagram bridge (mautrix-instagram) - alternative is Instagram bridge (mautrix-meta) . You may request adding that component by contacting us
  • Slack bridge (mx-puppet-slack) - alternative is Slack bridge (mautrix-slack) . You may request adding that component by contacting us
  • Steam bridge (mx-puppet-steam) unfortunately, there is no alternative
  • Webhooks bridge (appservice-webhooks) - alternative is Webhooks bridge (hookshot) . You may request adding that component by contacting us
